My European Travelogue: From London to Thessaloniki

In 1982, age 23, Ross Fattori traveled from his home in Toronto, Canada to London, England to embark on a cycling and train journey through England and Europe. The cycling leg began in London and commenced two months (and 1,284 miles) later in Palencia, Spain. Throughout his journey, Ross recorded his thoughts and observations of the many places he visited and the people he met. 'My European Travelogue (From London to Thessaloniki 1982)’ is the result of that effort.

Radio
On May 4, 2024, I had the honour and pleasure of being interviewed by Kristin Macdonald for her radio podcast called Second Vision. Kristin is partially sighted as a result of retinitis pigmentosa, and she interviews people who have found amazing ways to overcome personal injuries and conditions, as well as leaders in medicine and scientific research, actors and inspirational speakers. Kristin and I talked about my debut thriller novel, A Case Against the Clock, whose protagonist is a retired criminal profiler who is battling ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease). We also discussed personal loss and strategies for dealing with grief. Kristin is an incredibly gifted interviewer who made the experience fun, engaging and enjoyable.

Listen to the interview
"The plot of A Case Against the Clock is well thought out, perfectly paced and clearly delivered. Readers are introduced to characters who are well described, with great dialogue. The real hook is the author’s ability to create realistic, meaningful suspense. I am a voracious reader, and as the suspense builds, I definitely could not put this book down until the end. It is my sincere hope that the author will continue with a series of books with these interesting and finely-crafted characters. And we know he can build suspense.” – Janice M.
